This research Project is about the creation of a self-produced illustrated book which is aimed for kids/children to enjoy. in the future, I’d like to publish it with a publishing company and sell it

 

First, I followed a process of preproduction, production, and postproduction to achieve the final product. The first part of the project consists of carrying out some research and looking for role models, I also interviewed professional illustrators. I took into account my little cousin’s opinion while I was writing the story. On the second part, I made the first sketches from the ideas I had previously brainstormed. Finally, on the third part I created the digital illustrations and I layout the book.

 

The first objective has been achieved by the self-production of the book. The story is made by me and is a fable. This morality tale is about a character that isn’t accepted by the others because of his appearance, later he finds someone who is similar, and start a friendship. The second objective also has been achieved because the book has been printed out. To conclude, the last objective, in a way, has been partially achieved. Because I had started different projects, which are now put on hold. I usually do these other projects on my free time. One of these other projects is a children’s book and the other is a book for older children, the latter one requires a bit more work because it is meant to be a longer book.
